Prepper's Resource App Privacy Policy

PREPPER'S RESOURCE FREE BETA — APP PRIVACY POLICY

Effective when this version is released. Revision: 2026-10-11 / PR_PLAY_FINISH_V1

WHO OPERATES THE APP

Prepper's Resource operates Prepper's Resource Free Beta. Privacy questions and requests: support@preppersresource.com

This policy covers the Android app. Our website and shopping services have their own policies.

INFORMATION ON YOUR DEVICE

The app processes assistant questions and answers, selected photos, microphone input, translations, saved chats, field notes and photos, kit inventories, family/contact cards, optional care notes, profile information, radio messages and optional location records to provide the features you choose. AI processing uses downloaded or locally supplied models on your device. The app does not automatically upload these materials to an AI provider. App-runtime ONNX telemetry is disabled before initialization.

PERMISSIONS AND SHARING

Camera and microphone access support features you start. Location supports maps, navigation, tracking and location sharing you choose. Nearby-device permissions support radio and local connections. Folder access is limited to the folders you select through Android. Notifications support active services and downloads. You can revoke permissions in Android settings, though related features may then stop working.

GPS track recording starts only after you agree in the app. It records your precise location while the app is in the background or the screen is off, until you stop tracking. Use the tracking control in Maps or Stop tracking in the notification. Track points stay on your phone unless you choose to export or share them; GPS tracking does not upload them to Prepper's Resource.

A radio message, location, export or Android share action goes to the device, app or recipient you select. Radio transmissions can be received by other radio users and are not guaranteed private. Using a separately selected system speech engine or external app is subject to that provider's practices.

NETWORK CONNECTIONS

Offline content downloads use Google Play Asset Delivery. Google processes app and device information, requested packs and technical diagnostics to deliver and maintain these downloads under Google’s privacy policy. Verified offline files are kept in app-private storage and removed when you clear app data or uninstall. The app asks before starting these downloads.

The app may contact download hosts when you start content or routing downloads. Hosts receive connection information such as your IP address and requested files under their policies. Opening an external link transfers you to your browser. The app has no advertising feature. We do not sell personal information.

COMMS MESSAGES AND CONTROLS

Before using COMMS you must accept the messaging rules. You can block a sender on this phone and report a received message for review. Blocks hide that sender's messages and suppress new message alerts locally. Phone Radio exchanges a random installation identifier with the connected phone so a block can persist across connections. This is not a verified personal identity; changing identifiers or reinstalling can evade a block. Meshtastic blocks use the sending node identifier. Blocking does not prevent other radios receiving broadcast traffic.

OPTIONAL CONTENT REPORTS

Report this answer and Report message let you edit the reported text, optionally add a question and notes, select a reason and explicitly agree before sending. Submitted fields are the reviewed text, optional question and notes, reason, report type, app version, report ID and creation time. Photos, audio, precise location, other chats, hardware device identifiers and account information are not automatically attached. Text you choose to send may contain personal or sensitive information; remove what is unnecessary. For a COMMS report the editable text initially includes the sender label and radio or app-generated sender identifier.

Reports are sent over HTTPS through FormSubmit (Devro LABS) for delivery to support@preppersresource.com. Authorized Prepper's Resource reviewers, the email-delivery service and our mailbox provider process them for safety review, abuse handling, troubleshooting and improving the app. FormSubmit receives connection information such as your IP address and retains submissions for 30 days. Its privacy policy is at https://formsubmit.co/privacy.pdf . Your email address is not automatically requested or attached by the app.

The app marks a report submitted only when the email service returns an acceptance response. This does not prove inbox delivery. If the service or network does not confirm acceptance, a local copy remains unconfirmed. Retry requires another tap and may produce a duplicate email if the previous attempt arrived. There is no background auto-upload. Reports are not an emergency service.

RETENTION AND DELETION

Saved chats, notes and other app records remain until you delete them through their feature or remove the app's data in Android. Files on your selected shared folder or USB drive, exported files and information already shared elsewhere remain there and must be removed separately. Reset learned profile clears the profile, not your other records. No app account is required.

Automatic Android app backup and device transfer are disabled for app-private data. Your own exports and separately synchronized shared folders are outside that setting.

Local content reports are removed on the next report-list access after 90 days. Settings > Content reports > Remove from phone deletes only the local copy and cannot recall an email. We retain emailed reports while their review and related follow-up are needed, then delete them. To request deletion of a submitted report, contact support@preppersresource.com with its report ID and enough information to locate it. Provider security records and backups follow the providers' retention practices.

SECURITY, CHILDREN AND CHANGES

We use app-private storage, Android access controls and HTTPS for reporting. No storage or transmission method is completely secure. The app is designed for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. Do not submit a child's personal information in a content report. We publish material policy changes in the app and at the public privacy-policy URL.
